## Description
OPERATIONS ENGINEER:
Exhibits a basic understanding of business and management concepts.
Responsible for Continuous Improvement projects assigned to the New Construction Value Stream
Work with other functional areas on projects/assignments and assignments with some supervision.
Expected to be an effective Project Manager for C.I. projects
Idea generation for technical and operational improvements.
Learning to apply customer requirements identified and developed by lead engineering and other core business personnel (i.e. marketing, sales, etc.).
Participate in gathering and interpreting inputs on project/assignment issues from internal and external sources.
Contribute ideas and possible solutions that are new and unique to the business.
Develop work plans for small projects/sub projects/assignments, including expense/capital estimates and cost/benefit analysis, in consultation with supervisor.
Assist with identification and execution of project/assignments. Capable of self-management and identifying, defining and prioritizing personal tasks.
Assist with facilitation smaller teams having explicit objectives and scope.

Apply basic engineering analytical skills (SPC, process capability, etc), propose solutions to resolve problems and to satisfy customer issues and market requirements.
Apply appropriate statistical techniques for solving problems and controlling processes.
Assist in determining and reporting feasibility by analyzing and evaluating compatibility of material, process, assembly, and regulatory and legal requirements.
Check and verify accuracy of all documentation and oversee its preparation.
Provide assistance and make recommendations for customer service issues.
Work with supervisor to set design specifications and coordinate arrangements for all support activities.
Work with all internal and external resources to coordinate changes.
Present technical information or proposals to supervisor and others as appropriate.
Able to act as in-charge lead for entry level assignments & smaller projects.
Work direction by supervisor is customary.
Work is governed by practices and well-defined policies.
Works with minimal assistance toward completion of specifically defined tasks, including the latitude to coordinate activities outside the immediate work area and change personal priorities in order to carry out assignments
Regular interaction with others in developing and carrying out task-specific work plans.
Interaction with technical work group and business partners result in a positive impact on accomplishment of project goals.
Learning to promote Andersen interests through outside professional relationships at the local and regional level
## Qualifications
4 year Engineering degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Demonstrates ability to effectively apply acquired knowledge, skills and abilities to a variety of assignments within a basic range of technical difficulty.
Shows an understanding of engineering and scientific methodologies and their successful application acquired through a four-year degree program of study or equivalent combinations of education or experience (may include approved equivalency certification program).
Understands methodologies associated with project planning.
Preferred: Spanish Speaking, Continuous Improvement experience, Lean Six-Sigma knowledge or certification (yellow or green belt).

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
