Support Engineer

Job Overview:
The Product Support Engineer, acts as primary application support and data quality point person for the Systems Support team to track, manage, trouble-shoot and fix production related and data quality issues.
Essential Functions:
Collaborate cross-functionally with QA, DBA, BIS, OPS and on-shore/off-shore development teams alike to trouble-shoot data quality and application issues.
Generate reports on data quality/profile.
Supervise/provide maintenance and production support, trouble-shooting production issues. Identify the critical problems that occur on a regular basis to identify long term solution.
Implement data related fixes for day-to-day incidents occurring in production.
Review and analyze production requests from business teams on a daily basis - track, analyze and manage them to closure.
Partner with operations and other onshore/offshore support teams to manage the tickets and streamline the processes to engage the right development member for a production crisis.
Help to fix production bugs that may be production or enhancement related working together with development teams.
Be the representative on level 3 production calls for the development team - understand production issues and engage the onshore/offshore developers as needed to resolve the problem both short term and long term
Qualifications:
Education/Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field.
2+ years of production support experience.
2+ years of SQL experience.
Knowledge with AIX/Linux and Unix environments.
Strong experience in coding using SQL, Shell, Perl, Python, stored procedures, functions, triggers preferred.
Experience programming in Java and supporting J2EE applications referred.
Experience with different flavors of RDBMS (DB2, Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc) preferred.
Experience with Agile and Waterfall development methodology preferred.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field.
2+ years of production support experience.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
